»Silence« is about the struggles with the self and how, sometimes, we are unable to communicate about them with others, so we rather not speak about them entirely. Therefore, the self is stuck in its self-feeding loop of thoughts and behavior.
lyrics
Why I’m Quiet
You wanna know why I‘m quiet
I sit by your table
Watch you have fun
But let me be quiet
I wanna be quiet
Let me be quiet
Quiet
They won‘t ever know whats going through my head
Nothing shared
Don’t try to talk about it
‘Cause we don‘t talk about it (We don’t talk about it)
See, when I‘m quiet I have better conversations
Not confronted with these awkward situations
‘Cause they won‘t
Understand what I need
Don‘t know myself what I need
Can‘t remember who I am
Can‘t remember who I am
Can‘t remember who I am
Ah, Ah
Can‘t remember who I am
Ah, Ah
Stares (stares)
Right into my soul but no one cares (cares)
Every single pair of eyes is scared (scared)
No one move
She might talk about it
Please don‘t talk about it
Scratching, pulling
I don‘t deserve this
Scratching, pulling
I don‘t deserve this
Why am I going through this?
Can‘t remember who I am
Can‘t remember who I am
Can‘t remember who I am
Ah, Ah
Can‘t remember who I am
Scratching, pulling (pulling)
I don‘t deserve this
Scratching, pulling (pulling)
I don‘t deserve this
Why am I going through this?
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah
Ah, Ah, Ieh, Ah
Ah, Ah, Hie-Ah
Hie-Ah, Ha, Ha
Hie-Ah, Ha, Ha
Hie-Ah, Hie-Ah, Ha
Ah, Ah
Why am I going through this?
